Arianna Cobb
Morgan State University, Undergraduate Student, Electrical and Computer Engineering
What are you are studying/what you are interested in studying and/or researching while at Purdue? If you have done internships or other applicable experiences, feel free to include them here.
I am an electrical engineer that is interested in electro-optics and astrophysics. I am a part of a rocketry research lab which competes in competitions that attempts to launch rockets and reach a certain height. I have also interned at Northrop Grumman as a Test Engineer, which has allowed me to gain so much experience in different applications.
What made you want to join the Leading Women Toward Space Careers program?
I always wanted to be astrophysics growing up, and I have gained other interests like engineering and optics. Due to this, I want to seek a mentorship to see how to go about making my interest into a career. This program is the perfect opportunity to speak to mentors and people in the space industry.
What area would you like to work in after graduation? (What career path, interests, opportunities, etc., would you like to accomplish? What field are you interested in?)
I am interested in working in the space industry as an optics engineer. I would also want to be able to work alongside astrophysicists to support their needs as an engineer.
